With Grace - Print

My painting process has become a beautiful student-teacher relationship.  Recently, I have kept my subject matter clean, simple.  I find images that strike or move me in some way, although I do not always know why.  The subjects of my paintings themselves then teach me what it is I saw in them, what it is they want me to embody for myself.  I become their pupil, and they, my mentors.

This painting, in particular, asked me to embody grace through the ebbs and flows of my life.  To let my mind be still like water and then to dance with the winds of change.
