ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jade DesHotel is a mixed media artist from South Louisiana, two hours outside of New Orleans - a city known for its soul, eccentricity, and vibrancy. She brings a multi-layered perspective to her work, carrying that same feeling of soul, depth, eclecticism, and liveliness. Each piece is an exploration of authenticity and the beauty of what it means to be fully human.
Jade was trained through the Milan Art Institute, with a background spanning painting, interior design, French language and culture, and the healing arts. Her work has been shown both nationally and internationally, including her solo exhibition Living with (He)art and the BARE Walls program in Lafayette, LA, The Superfair Austin, The Other Art Fair Dallas, and The Palette Project in NSW, Australia. Her work is also featured in real estate development projects in both Louisiana and Arizona.
Jade is currently an artist resident at Basin Arts and serves as Public Arts Coordinator at Le Centre (Lafayette International Center) in Lafayette, LA. She works from her prolific studio at Basin Arts, offering consultations and creating original works for forward-thinking luxury spaces around the world. Her goal: to infuse a sense of life and boldness into spaces, sparking inspiration and igniting souls long after first impression.
