What animal do you feel a deep kinship with?

Most of us have an affinity toward a particular animal. Some call this your "totem" or "spirit animal ". We are drawn to these beings because we share a similar frequency or personality traits with them. We 'get' them, and they get us. They are our companions, teachers, and friends.

For years, the eagle would come to me in my dreams. At times, she would show herself as the Great Eagle Spirit in the sky. Other times, she would show up as many eagles with one voice flying overhead. But she would always speak so loudly and clearly to me that I would awaken from my sleep.

I could not deny her messages or her love. She was guiding me, teaching me, keeping me on course. I am forever grateful for her wisdom, for through these dreams, I was reminded of my worth and my path.

This painting is an homage to my native ancestry that I feel so deeply in my bones and to the spirit of the eagle. May you always fly high, great one.
