Spilling the Tea (with Myself)

I shut out all noise of the world so I could find silence in my own head.

And in that silence, an honest conversation with myself took place.

At first, I didn't know why I imaged myself pouring and spilling tea...until I said it out loud...spilling the tea. This whole thing was about the different parts of myself finally sitting down and getting real about the way I've shown up in my life...and haven't shown up, for that matter. It has been about bringing everything to light.

What do I actually want?
Who am I when I put my own wants and needs first?
What do I want to give to the world?

This painting became both a vessel and a witness to it all.
